Wine is only as good as the person choosing it.
 David Rhodes, has been a oenophile for over 20 years. Over the last three years, "Derelict Dave" has hosted over 100 wine events in San Diego County including pairing wines with the offerings of celebrity chefs, regional flights, winery tours, Vine Climbs (wine bar pub crawls) and private parties. He has been sought out as a consultant by wineries, restaurants, caterers, event planners and non-profits. He has appeared three times on local TV as a wine and/or food connoisseur.
When asked, Dave won't commit to having a favorite wine. "I like different wines for different occasions. Sometimes, it depends on the weather. Sometimes, it depends on my mood. Sometimes, it depends on the food I'm eating. Sometimes, the company. I like matching my food to what I want to drink (not the other way around)."

Cavalier and Arrogant.
 He's been called worse, but the owner of CREAM is actually a pretty okay guy. An old school graffiti artist and long time member of Los Angeles' famous 7th Letter Crew, this street artist,turned marine biochemist, turned designer, turned boutique owner, turned restuarant owner, brings his energy and eclectic experience to the mix.
You can often find him at CREAM trying to help but mostly just getting in the way and causing problems. If he's making your drink, you may want to try it before you leave the counter, because he probably screwed it up.
