The Grand opening party for Neighbourhood Boutique, although about 6 months after it actually opened its doors, was nothing short of off the hook. Over 700 people came together over the course of the evening to enjoy a Neighbourhood fashion show, the first Scene Local Art Show, and performances by top San Diego DJ's Beatnik, Chris Cutz, Corey Biggs and Saul Q. In addition, there was a dance performance by woopty and Miguel Vega came across with the visuals. The cresendo was a 40 minute set by one of San Diego's best local bands, Grand Ole Party.

Cite BEAT's Bordering Beauty • March 16th, 2007.
The Bordering Beauty event had a great theme- crossing borders. Artists from Mexico and San Diego got together to cover the walls in an eclectic mix of imagery. DJ's El Poeta and John Baker brough the international flare to the sounds and the Sewn Together fashion show brought competing boutiques together in an effort to build community and prove the power in numbers.
